John started working on a farm at 9 years old and carried that knowledge with him throughout his life. John married his wife, Ruth, on July 20, 1963. After moving to Minnesota from Pennsylvania, John became a heavy equipment operator and a proud member of Local 49. Aside from work, John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He always had a big garden and shared with everyone. John didn't care about material possessions, he only cared about people and was willing to give whatever he had to others. He loved Cedar United Methodist Church and the people there.
His greatest joy was his family. He will be missed.
