He is survived by his Beloved Wife of 61 years, Dorothy; Children, John Joseph III, Stephen (Nancy), Kathleen (Dennis) Johnson, Elizabeth, Jeanne (Daniel) Kelsey, Charles (Terri); Daughter-in-law, Becky; Grandchildren, Ariston (Anastasiya), Martine (Daniel), Samuel (Kayla), Sheena (Ted), John Joseph IV, Steven, Karly, Taylor, Justin, Carolina, Eliott, Olivia, Jason, Mackenzie; Great-grandchildren, Aedric, Cressida; many other close Relatives and Friends.

John was a Deputy Civil Engineer at the Grand Forks Air Force Base from 1956-1983 and was a Retired Colonel after 30 years with the United Sates Army.
