Josh was born in California in 1975 and moved to Minnesota at a young age. He was the youngest of three, and enjoyed being a kid and having fun with his siblings.
He will be remembered as a generous, gentle, hard-working, humorous, and kind-hearted man whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those who knew him.
Josh’s working life reflected his practical spirit and the quiet loyalty he showed in every part of life. During high school at Park Center, he worked at a carousel bingo place, and later in life he worked at CEVA in the IT department. Through his work, he formed many lifelong friendships that remained meaningful over the years.
Those closest to Josh knew that he found genuine enjoyment in the things he loved most: heavy metal, music, gaming, computers, and, above all, family. These interests were more than pastimes—they were the familiar rhythms of a life lived with warmth, humor, and a steady, gentle heart.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, Marcia; and brother, Joseph.
Josh is survived by his sister, Christina (Timothy) Brackin; nephew, Cody; father, Art Anderson; aunts, uncles, and many other family members and friends.
Join us to celebrate Josh's life on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids. Visitation begins at 2 pm, service at 3 pm, and light luncheon to follow.
