She was born on April 11, 1942, in Holloway, Minnesota, where she grew up on the family farm. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Elsie Klang, and her brothers Larry, Bob, Kelly, and Jack Klang. She is survived by her beloved husband Skip; her children Bill (Chris); Tammy (Doug); and Melissa; and grandchildren, Derrick; Nick; Josh (Tess); Michelle (Chris); Brandon (Amanda); Kohl (Kim); Andrew (Taylor); and Madison; and great-granddaughters Letty; and Olivia. Karen will be remembered as a devoted wife, a dedicated mother, and a passionate “Grandma”. She was known for her warm heart, her talent for baking, and her beautiful quilting which brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her love for her family and her kindness to all who knew her will be deeply missed.
Please join us to celebrate Karen's life on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation at 2 pm, Prayer Service at 3 pm, with refreshments to follow. A private inurnment will occur at the Church of the Visitation Cemetery in Danvers, MN.
