Kathy was one of the most caring and compassionate people anyone could have known. She loved everyone around her unconditionally and always made others feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Her family meant more to her than anything in the world. Even through life's struggles, Kathy remained strong, continued to move forward, and never stopped showing love to those she held dear.
She had a beautiful heart and an equally beautiful spirit. Her warm smile, kind nature, and infectious laugh could brighten any room and lift the spirits of everyone around her. She had a special gift for making people feel seen, loved, and important.
Kathy dedicated 34 years of her life as a hairstylist, building lasting friendships with the many people she served over the years. After retiring from hairstyling, she found another calling helping children with disabilities, working at Rise, Pinnacle and Arsys. She loved that work deeply, always making sure the children could enjoy the activities they wanted to do while treating each of them with the same love, patience, and care she would give her own family.
On July 15, 1989, Kathy married the love of her life, Jeff Hartgers. Together they shared 37 wonderful years of marriage and built a life filled with love and devotion. They were blessed with one son, Ryan Hartgers, whom Kathy loved with all her heart and cared for every day.
Kathy's legacy is one of kindness, selflessness, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her warmth, generosity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
