Lora Ann Robberstad

Lora was born in 1940 in Maynard, MN. She graduated from High School in Wadena, MN as part of the class of 1958. After that she worked as a cashier for a small grocery store in Coon Rapids, MN. She later found a job at Sperry Univac (Unisys) working as a computer cable and board assembler. In 1968 she went to a New Years Eve party with some friends and ended up meeting her future husband (Wayne Leslie Robberstad) there. From that night on they began dating and after a few months Wayne proposed and they were married at First Baptist Church in Coon Rapids, MN on June 14th, 1969.

In 1970, Lora had her first child (Denise Robberstad) and then her second (Gregory Robberstad) in 1972. Lora liked to watch children, she worked for many years in the Nursery at First Baptist church taking care of the babies and toddlers during church services. She also enjoyed watching her children’s sporting events, she was always in the stands cheering them on whether it was Hockey, Baseball, Softball, Basketball or Volleyball.

When Lora retired from Unisys she liked to go on long road trips with Wayne in their motor home. They would go wherever the road took them to visit friends and family across the United States. In 2003 when her first three grandchildren were born (Rachel, Ella and Nathan) she put the traveling aside and helped take care of them along with their brother (Benjamin) when he was born a couple years later. She loved watching them grow up and enjoyed the time that she was able to be with them.

She was preceded in death by her Mother (Hildah Eggebraaten) and Father (Bernhardt Suhl) as well as all nine of her siblings; Edward Suhl, Robert Suhl, Lester Suhl, Lois Parr-Suhl, Betty Miller, Thomas Suhl, Karen Tichy, Gary Suhl and Ronald Suhl.

Lora is dearly missed by husband, Wayne Robberstad; daughter, Denise Robberstad; son Greg (Mary) Robberstad; grand children, Rachel Robberstad, Ella Robberstad, Nathan Robberstad, Benjamin Robberstad and many other family members and friends.

Lora's funeral will be held at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN, on Monday, June 15, 2026, with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am.

Lora’s final resting place will be at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids, MN.
