Think of you often. Miss you being my father-in-law, my children’s grandfather and spending family time together, all of these being some of the best memories I hold. Love and miss Curt, Judy, and all of you.

I was sad to see this.
I served with Lyle in French Morocco.
We were member of the crash crew at the U.S.Naval Air Facility at Port Lyautey.
We were a close knit group and Lyle fit right in. He was a great athlete and played foot ball, base ball and was proficient in track and gymnastics.
My condolences to his family and friend's.

My most cherished memory of Lyle, my father-in-law & my children's Grandpa? 
There really are many!
 The way we met for the first time is a funny one! Not  the way I had envisioned, for sure!  I was mortified!  Wanting so badly to impress my B.F.’s father, not having any confidence in myself! Lyle just thought it funny. I would like to think he was a little proud of his boy that day! In my version, I envision Lyle giving Curt a “ high-five” when I was out of sight!!  HaHa  But, ya probably not! 

The way he supported his son,  my B.F. (eventually husband) in good times, and struggling times. Lyle’s love never wavered for his son, nor did his sons love waiver..ever! The way Lyle showed me what a Dad should be like…unconditional and easy love is what I have never knew existed from a Dad. Lyle proved to me many, so many times over the years  that it did exist.  He showed me what a father should look like. What a Grandpa should look like, what holidays, and healthy  family times should look like. He shared many stories with me about his service to our country, his sacrifices. the honor he held for his country always showed! He instilled that in me, for him. He taught my husband how to be the same kind man whom Lyle and I both loved and lost. Eventually causing us to loose our connection. It was just too hard, maybe. But never did I loose my memories of his ability to love  those I loved too.  I am sad but thankful, proud and honored to have known Lyle. To call him family. I think the greatest gift Lyle gave me was, well one, his son , of course! Two…”anyone can be a Dad. It’s takes a real man to be a father.” XOXO   hug Curt for me 🥰
