He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Thora; sister, Verna Bauman; and infant sister, Rose.
Marlin is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Beverly; sons, Scott (Andrea) Stangeland, Keith Stangeland, and Brian (Chris) Stangeland; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Vondall, Quin Stangeland, Erin Stangeland, and Faith Stangeland; sister, Ardean (Gil) Rudolph; brothers, Cecil (Enid) Stangeland and David (Olivia) Stangeland; and other family and friends.
Marlin served in the US Air Force. After he got out of the service he worked for Northwestern Bell/US West for 37 years until his retirement. Marlin enjoyed traveling and wintering in Bibleville, Texas. He will forever be remembered for his compassion and kindness by many relatives and friends.
