Marlys Hanson Pfleghaar grew up on a farm in Cosmos, MN, was married to Kenneth 57 years, raising 4 children. She was often heard to say that she had a good life and couldn't have wished for a better life or husband.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; Her mother and Father Florence, August Hanson; brother Eugene Hanson.

A Service of Remembrance for Marlys will be held at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN, on Friday, June 19, 2026, with visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the service at 2:00 pm.
Her final resting place will be with her husband, Kenneth, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, in Minneapolis, MN.
