Mary R Kiecker

Born May 2, 1944 and passed away peacefully after a 17 year battle with cancer surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 7, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene and her parents, Theresa & Ambrose. She is survived by her 4 children, Tom (Karen) of Naperville, IL, Bill (Kim) of Coon Rapids, Annie (Doug) of Coon Rapids, & Jimbo (Ann) of Andover, MN; 11 grandchildren, Jack, Emily, Nicole, Nick, Katie, Allie, Tommy, Kennedy, William, Matthew & Presley. She is also survived by brothers, Bill (Carol), John & Phil and her sister, Kathleen (Gary); as well as an abundance of special cousins, friends & family.

Mary was born and raised in Minneapolis. As a newlywed, she & Gene moved to Coon Rapids where she lived until her final day. She was an active member in the community and a 45 year member at St. Timothy's in Blaine. She worked for Anoka Ramsey Community College from 1980 until her retirement in 2008. Mary was such an inspiration to many. She was a positive spirit to all those she encountered. Although her prognosis dire, she handled her fight with grace, courage and dignity. She was the sunshine in her families life. She was a role model to her children, grandchildren and to everyone.

Interment Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial Monday (TODAY), 10 AM at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 707 NE 89th Street, Blaine, with visitation one hour prior to service.
