Matthew Lucas Heinz

Matthew was born on July 14, 1962 in Urbana, Illinois. He grew up in West Peoria, Illinois, where he attended Saint Mark's Catholic School. In 1976, Matt moved with his family to Riverside, California where he enjoyed riding dirt bikes until he moved to Minnesota in 1980. Shortly after moving to Minnesota, Matthew joined the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii in 1985. He was discharged from the Navy after a near fatal motorcycle accident and returned to Minnesota where he lived until his death.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Lucas Frederick Heinz; and grandparents, Lucas Andrew Heinz and Alta Marie Heinz.

Matthew is survived by his son, Justin Heinz; mother, June Heinz; sister, Amy Heinz; sister, Anne Heinz; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A private graveside service is planned for noon on November 18th at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois.
