Grandpa! i cannot even put into words how much i miss you and think of you often, as you know i currently moved back home from california, now that i am home me and the parents visit you every sunday. I know you watch over me and know what has been going on these last few months, but I got engaged and am currently in training to be assistant director at my job here, thank you for everything and guiding me into the right path! the closer and closer it gets to you being gone a year you can tell my dad is devistated, he lost his best friend that day, we all have never really been in touch with some of the family, but sundays were the day to be with you and you made my dad smile,laugh,and just reminice about the good ole days, your flag is hung up on our wall downstairs in the family room, everytime my dad looks at that flag i see the pain in his eyes that you are gone! i know you are in our hearts and that you are watching over us but its so hard to have you gone, you were the only grandpa i had that ever ment anything to me!! when no one else was there for our family you always were NO MATTER WHAT!! we struggle day to day with your loss but always know you are in our hearts!!! we will always love and miss you!!

Dad Pretty soon it will be a year since you've been gone from us, and in a couple of days they will be taking this site off of the internet, that seems so funny to me, it took us fifty four years to get to really know one another, and they want me to say goodbye in as short time as a year! I don't think that I can do that, I often come back to this site and look at the pictures and I let my mind wander back to the days when you were here, it helps me to heal, now that will soon be gone also. I know that you are forever in my heart, and the memories, the good the bad and the ugly are still in my brain, but it's nice to see it on the screen. Anyways you are going to be a great grandpa again! Yup you guessed it! Miss Ashley is going to have a baby! I know you would have loved that! Well I have to sign off now, Love Ya!

Grandpa today in my Alzheimer's class I heard a.song.. I started bawling my eyes out.. it made me think of you. I love you so much and not a day goes by I don't think of you. I know your always with me but it's hard. I love you grandpa...

Dad I thought of you the minute i woke up this morning, no particular reason, just that I miss you!I can't believe it will be nine months in a few days that you left this crummy world. I am glad that you are not in pain anymore, I wish Kelly would have come and seen you, but not my call,yea i have been thinking about him alot lately too! And scotty and everyone else that I don't have the option of seeing! I love you all so much!

Alyce and Family-
My thoughts and prayers are with you upon the passing of Swede.  He was always kind, thoughtful and friendly when I called or stopped in.  Alyce - please feel free to call on me for anything.
Take care of yourself and know that Swede is in a better, painfree place now.

Swede will be miss by all, he was a good freind and we had many a good times. we have shared a lot of memories and they will always be in our hearts forever.

Dear Alyce & family, I am sadden to hear about Swede, he meant the world to me and will be missed deeply. I will always have many memories of him, like when he visited us in Colorado, San Francisco, Chicago, and Indiana. The times he called just to tell me he "missed me". I am glad I had a chance to see him last October and give him a hug, and tell him how much he meant to me. His kids, grandkids and wife were everything to him and he made me feel like one of his own, he never treated me like a daughter-n-law, always a daughter! I will miss him very much.

Dear Aunt Alyce and all of our Erickson cousins (we might as well go for 3 in a row.)  Please know that the thoughts and prayers of my family are with all of you on the sad passing of uncle Swede.  I always enjoyed my time with him in Ada, at holidays and especially family reunions.  We will all miss him dearly.  I look forward to seeing you all on Friday.

I was so sad to hear about my Uncle Swede's passing.  I want you all to know how special he was to me and to Ron, too.  I have many fond memories of the time we spent together at family gatherings and visiting at your house.
