He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hammett.
He is survived by his loving mother, Carol Hammett; son, Samuel Hammett and his son's mother, Rachel; brother, David (Paula) Hammett; nephews, Billy Hammett and family, and Patrick Hammett.
Michael was most proud of his son, Samuel. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held at a future date. Updates will be provided as plans are made.
