Muriel G. Emmen

Preceded in death by parents, John and Mayme Peters; brother, Wesley Peters.

Survived by loving husband of 55 years, Leonard; daughters Ruth (David) Denney and Mary Emmen (Kevin Gilbertson); son David Emmen; granddaughters Meredith and Laurel Denney, Danna, Carlyn and Madeline Gilbertson; sisters Phyllis Petersen of Clara City, Minnesota, and Eloise Nelson of Florence, Oregon.

Muriel was a 26-year employee of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, gardening and her grandchildren. She was a 15-year breast cancer survivor.

Visitation 4-7 PM Thursday, August 1, 2013, Gearhart Coon Rapids Chapel, 11275 Foley Boulevard Northwest, Coon Rapids. Funeral service 11 AM Friday, August 2, 2013, Presbyterian Church of the Master, 798 Northdale Boulevard Northwest, Coon Rapids. Additional visitation at the church 1 hour prior. Interment Monday, August 5, 2013, Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids.
