Paul is survived by Sue Fitzpatrick and special cousin Myrna Merfeld. Wonderful uncle to Kathy (John) Johnson, Greg Wennberg and Richard Wennberg. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Paul enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 18. His military career took him all over the world. He was a gunner on a B-24 and after flight school in Texas, he piloted a C119 and helicopters.
He was employed at the MN Department of Employment Services as a Job Service Veterans Representative. Paul loved to fish and enjoyed many years at his cabin on Dam Lake. Paul and Sue traveled all over the United States after his retirement.
Memorial Service will be held on December 12, 2021 at Gearhart Funeral Home 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448. Visitation at 11:30, service at 12 and lunch following the service. Interment at Fort Snelling will take place in the spring of 2022.
