I always loved uncles big hugs. He would just wrap his arms around me and I'd melt right in them feeling so much love. Thinking of you all sending healing hugs and love. I won't be able to make to service I have covid and pneumonia so quarantined. My heart will be there with you all prayers

This man has been a part of my life for many many years. He was always a true friend and a big help many times. We shared a lot of good times (and some not so good) over the years. After I moved to Florida I would always be sure to visit them when I went back to MN to visit and the big smile that would always be on his face when he first saw me will be with me always.
When he was still able to verbalize his words he could make everyone laugh and have a good time. I believe that he is walking around and enjoying time with those he loved that went on before him. Rest In Peace dear friend.

I am not sure how to do enough justice to a man who added so much to my life. The love, laughter and smiles he gave me meant so much. I will never forget the love yous and birthday songs that you gave me over the last few years on the phone which are some of my most recent cherished memories. My only regret was that I was too far away to spend more time with you the last few years. Forever will miss you but you will always be close in my heart.

I remember the time my Uncle and I drove to see his sister, my Aunt, in St. Cloud, MN. It seemed like the drive was never ending. Every turn, “Are we there?” Always talking I was told. So up ahead was a DQ!! My Uncle said, “Do you want to stop?” Maybe my talking and the drive were getting to him! 🤣 So in the parking lot we went. Once inside it was time to order. I’m sure Uncle Richard was expecting me to order a cone or dilly bar. Noooo, not me! I wanted a Banana Split! He was smiling and a little giggle came out and then said, “They are 50 cents, that’s a lot! Are you going to eat it all?” I assured him I would, the orders were placed. We proceeded to eat out DQ treats. So good first Banana Split ever for me. I achieved my goal, I had eaten the whole thing. When finished we walked out and my Uncle Richard said to me, “Now I hope you don’t puke 🤮 it all up!” He was such a GREAT and funny Uncle!!

I will always remember comparing belly's with grandpa when I was pregnant with Ava, and his glowing smile when we would walk in the door. Love you all.
