She met the love of her life Douglas on a blind date in 1966 and was married to him on August 2, 1969. They were married for 55 years and during that time they welcomed their two children, Troy and Kelli, and grandchildren, Randall and Reed.
Robin was a wonderful wife, mother, and deeply loved being a grandmother. She was also a wonderful host and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
She was a proud member of Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church where she served in the nursery for 20+ years. Robin also loved her widows’ group.
Robin worked hard to provide for her family, who are the most important in her life. This was evident in her everyday life - most of all she loved Jesus Christ. She knew her need for her Saviour, and she never took that lightly. We rest in knowing that she is in Heaven, rejoicing with our Lord and Saviour. She would want everyone to know that the most important thing is our Salvation. Repent of your sins, know that Jesus died for your sins, and through obedience and faith you will be able to see her again one day for eternity.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Douglas Vasecka; her parents, Harold and Lois Zerk; siblings, Mickie Johnson, Rodney Zerk, Fred Zerk, and Debora Bailey.
Robin is dearly missed by her children Troy Vasecka and Kelli Kampff; grandchildren, Randall and Reed Kampff; her brother, Scott Zerk (Jacque); sisters-in-law, Joan (Dave) and Karen; brothers-in-law, Glen and Tim; and many other family members and friends.
