Shirley E. Norman

Shirley Elaine Norman was born on December 17, 1929 to Lawrence and Clara (Allram) Stansbury in Prairie Farm, WI. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Glenwood City High School. At 18, she moved to Minneapolis to work. She met WIlliam D. Norman and they were married August 19th, 1950 at Grace Lutheran Church in Connersville, WI. Together, they had 3 children: Kathleen, William, and Brian. They lived in St. Louis Park, MN until 1961, when they moved to Coon Rapids, MN. Shirley worked for Anoka Hennepin School District and Foley Mfg. Shirley lived in Coon Rapids until 1993 when she moved to the Anoka Care Center due to Multiple Sclerosis. She lived there until her death on March 7th, 2020.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bonnie Yarbrough and Adeline Tronrud; brothers, Laverne, Eugene, and Gordon. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Steve) Anagnost of California, Bill (Cindy) Norman of Coon Rapids, and Brian (Donna) Norman of Blaine. Grandchildren, Christopher (Mindy), Stefani Walker, Nikki (Darin) Vagts, Leah (Bryce) Hanson, Lindsay (Adam) Abrahamsen, Sara (Matt) Aggerbeck, and Emily (Nick) Norman; and 16 Great Grandchildren; Hayley, Braden, Abby, Hunter, Brock, Noah, Ava, Lily, Katelynn, Elijah, Emma, Helen, Parker, Hazel, Lena, and Emmie. Also survived by her sister, Nancy Hughs; brother, Roger (Helen) Stansbury, sister-in-laws, Erna and Gerane; and brother-in-law, Willard Tronrud. Many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service Friday, March 13th at 11:00 at Peace Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids with visitation 1 hour before. Interment in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
