

Shirley had a quick wit, and loved a good joke. She easily laughed but more easily cried. She was the life of the party in every event she attended. Shirley embraced Jesus, and taught her children to do so as well. Shirley passed after a long battle with dementia.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, Warren Rhude; daughter, Sammarie Durushia; first husband, Jim Neuberger; brother, Keith Kaaria.
Shirley is survived by her son, Robert (Deborah) Neuberger; grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan) Long, Mitchell (Abby) Neuberger; great-grandchildren, Parker, Alexa, Elijah, Esther, and Judah; the Durushia family; siblings, Anne Sandusky, Kim Walstrom, and Sally Wald; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Port Wind of Maple Grove (Arbor Lakes Senior Living is now Portwind at Maple Grove), 12001 80th Ave North, Maple Grove, MN. Please join us on the 2nd floor in the community room.
