Age 89, of New Brighton
Completed his journey on Jan. 14, 2025 – also marking their 67th wedding anniversary.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary; brothers, Laurence and Donald; sister, Elraine Brennan; son-in-law, John Stoltzmann.
Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Delores; daughters, Cathy Stoltzmann, Lori (Mark) Marion, and Mary Barnette; grandchildren, Brandon, Victoria, Taylor, Rachel, Charlie, Tyler, Max, Coss, Carson, and Callie; great-grandchildren, Kalem, Kylen, Weston, Savanna, Quinn, Crew, and Emilia; brother, Harold; sister, Jeanette (James) Hicks. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Virg was proud to serve his country in the United States Army. He was a mechanic by trade and was able to fix anything. Virg enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, traveling both nationally and internationally, and wintering in Weslaco, Texas for 17 years, with Delores. Virg was also active with the Knights of Columbus. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Thursday, January 23, 2024, at The Church of Saint William (6120 5th Street N.E., Fridley) Visitation 10:00 am until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to donor’s choice.
