"Al" as we all know him, was a Vietnam veteran who served with the U.S.Army. Any one you speak with would be reminded of "his Mary" and his love of all things country. Whether it be decor, his way of dress (never without his cowboy boots) to his country music: he loved it and wore it proudly. From family to friends and co-workers- everyone he met, Al was known as a helpful, caring, friendly gentleman.
Al enjoyed his working with race horses at Gulf Stream Park in Florida, as well as Belmont Race track where a reporter once wrote an article for The New York Times including Al: stating that everyone in the Back Stretch enjoyed listening to his country music. Al also worked for the Copiague Public Schools.
He loved to dance and was one of the best, in his earlier years he was on American Bandstand, as well as winning several dance contests. He enjoyed singing, and if you recall he sang with his son Patrick at his 70th Birthday party as well as everyday to his country music.
Al always had a smile an a pleasant way of making you feel welcome. Al is survived by his son Patrick McIntosh; his sister Pauline Saint Louis; and his brothers - Jack McIntosh, Courtney Renals and Earl Renals.
