Angelina Zella

Angelina was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo Zella. Together they shared an extraordinary 70 years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, family, and unwavering devotion.

She was a proud and loving mother to Margherite Manicone and Joseph Manicone. Her greatest joy came from her growing family, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren: Melissa Caprino and her husband, John; Jaimee Hesleitner and her husband, John; and Samantha Fuellenbach and her husband, Grant. She was also blessed with her beloved great-granddaughter, Jemma Rose Hesleitner, who brought her immense happiness.

Angelina is survived by her sister, Mary Mazzei, and her brother, Pat Leuci. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonardo Zella, and her brother, Charles Leuci.

A talented seamstress, Angelina took great pride in her craftsmanship and attention to detail. She had a passion for fashion and jewelry and enjoyed cooking, shopping, dancing, and trying her luck with slot machines and scratch-off tickets. She especially looked forward to spending time with friends at the Tanner Park Senior Center.

Family was always at the heart of Angelina's life. She found her greatest fulfillment in bringing loved ones together, preparing delicious home-cooked meals, and creating warm, joyful gatherings filled with laughter and love. Whether shopping for beautiful clothes and jewelry, dancing with her beloved husband, or enjoying a day at the casino, Angelina embraced life with warmth, generosity, and a joyful spirit.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, kindness, strength, and the happiness she brought to everyone around her. Her legacy of love, family, and togetherness will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

Angelina will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home, 99 Oak Street, Copiague, New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 37 Union Avenue, Amityville, New York.

Burial will immediately follow from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Breslau Cemetery, North Monroe Avenue and Newark Street, Lindenhurst, New York.
