Ann M. Blumberg
August 3, 1940 – October 26, 2018
Ann Marie Blumberg, a longtime resident of Lindenhurst, passed on Friday, October 26th, at the age of 78 years.
Born in Oceanside, L.I. to her late parents, Gilbert and Catherine Devine, Ann was raised in Copiague and attended and graduated from Queen of the Rosary High School in Amityville. She met her future husband, Donald Blumberg while they were both working for Babylon Town Hall. They married in 1964 and bought their home in 1966 where they raised their family.
She and Don loved to travel, enjoying ocean cruises and local trips to Atlantic City. Don passed after 38 years of wonderful marriage. Her hobbies were indeed her family. While she loved to crochet, her children recall their mother as a woman who put her family first, always; which is a tradition of love that she instilled in her own children. Ann cherished her grandchildren, relishing every moment spent with them.
Ann is survived by her children – Donna Stuber and son-in-law, David; Jennifer Clemente and son-in-law, Joseph; and Donald Blumberg and daughter-in-law, Jennifer; her grandchildren – Joseph Clemente, Nicholas Clemente, Donald “DJ” Blumberg, Steven Blumberg, Vincent Clemente, Sara Mary Blumberg and David Stuber. She is also survived by her loving sister Florence Devine.
Ann touched many lives without even trying to. The kindness that she carried within was enormous and she listened to people like no other. We will hold her forever in our hearts and she will never be forgotten!
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7-9:30 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
Ann was so very fond of a young neighbor who passed, Victoria Trachte. In lieu of flowers, Ann would be touched for remembrances in Victoria's memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
