It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Cavasinni, who left us peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the age of 95. Ann’s life was a testament to strength, grace, and the enduring power of love and family.
Born on December 29, 1929, in Ripi, Italy, Ann grew up with strong values, a resilient spirit, and a heart full of generosity. She met the love of her life, Victor, with whom she built a beautiful life centered on family, tradition, and unwavering care for those around her. Together, they raised one son, Peter, and created a home that was always full of warmth, laughter, and love.
Ann spent many years in Copiague, NY, where she was a cherished presence in her community. She was known for her kindness, her devotion to her loved ones, and her gentle, welcoming nature. Whether it was preparing a meal, offering words of comfort, or simply being there when someone needed her, Ann touched countless lives with her selfless heart.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Mary, Warren, Louisa, and is reunited in peace with her brother John.
Her legacy lives on through her son, Peter, and her beloved grandchildren—Anthony, Deanna, AnnaBella, and Sophia. Ann was especially proud of her role as a grandmother; her family was truly the center of her world.
Ann’s family remembers her as a woman of quiet strength, elegance, and warmth. She will be deeply missed, yet her memory will continue to inspire and guide those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ann’s life during visitation at D’Andrea Bros Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 2:00–4:30 PM and again from 7:00–9:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 1 Molloy Street, Copiague, NY 11735. Following the Mass, interment will take place at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735. Ann will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Victor.
In lieu of flowers, Ann requested that donations be made to Breakthrough T1D (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and The ALS Association.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely and reunited with those who went before her.
