Christopher was a genuine and kindhearted individual who always brightened up a room and possessed a sincerity that is all too uncommon these days. He was well spoken, intelligent, a true friend to so many, and a loving son and brother. We are all lucky to have so many Christopher stories and great memories. He will always be thought of that way and has left a big mark on this world by touching so many lives in a great way...more than most do. So his presence will always be here as he lives forever in our hearts and memories...We love you, Christopher.
Christopher Ramirez, of Norwich, Connecticut and formerly of Copiague, L.I., passed suddenly on Wednesday, November 18th at the age of 35 years.
Chris was born in Bethpage to his parents, Michael and RoseMaria, and was raised in Copiague. He attended Copiague schools, graduating from Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School in 2003. Chris then attended Dowling College, graduating in 2008 with a degree in Business. He began his life-long career in the Marine industry with West Marine; working his up to District Manager, where his work took him out to California for two years. Chris came back to the East Coast, bought his home in Connecticut and began a career with Garmin International.
Growing up, boating and the water was his life. Chris made friends easily, and to all who loved him he was a friend to so many and was always eager to be there for anyone who needed help. Due to his kind and giving nature, he had friends from all walks of life. His father recalls a young man with a great memory - so well that he was whiz at playing Jeopardy. Chris was also a Vegas fan, he enjoyed playing the slots, and was extremely lucky. His parents remember how his grandmother used to take him with her to the racetrack and have him pick the horses. He loved to take trips to the casinos in Las Vegas and California.
Surviving is his beloved family - his parents, Michael and RoseMaria; his brother, Matthew (AnnMarie); his grandparents, James (the late Phyllis) Caruso and Maria Caruso; his aunts - Barbara Lombardo, Carol Anfuso, Brian and Catherine Ann Conroy, Patricia Ramirez, Teisha Kuna, and Anthony and Melissa Ramirez; and many other cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, November 28th from 2:30 - 7:00 p.m.
