Donna Caggiano, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and truly unforgettable soul, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Donna was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life. She loved going to the beach as often as she could, taking motorcycle rides, and expressing her creativity through arts, crafts, and sewing.
She had an enormous heart for animals and cared deeply for her beloved pets Rocco, Marge, Pete, and Abby, as well as the many stray animals, ducks, and local birds she welcomed into her world.
Donna's greatest joy, however, was the people she loved. She was a devoted mother to Michael, Anthony, and Christopher, and a loving stepmother to Melissa and Frank. She was a cherished grandmother to Lorelai, Johnny, Frankie, and Savannah, and a beloved sister to Mario. Donna shared a special and meaningful bond with James, her partner in life, with whom she shared many years, experiences, and memories. She was also blessed with Frank, her partner in love, whose place in her heart was deeply special and treasured.
To those who knew her, Donna was a mama bear to all, her heart was so big that all children were her children. She was always ready to love, protect, comfort, and embrace those around her. And anyone who was lucky enough to receive one of Donna's hugs knew just how special they were — she truly gave the best hugs. Donna also had the best laugh that was contagious to those around her. Once you heard it, you couldn't help but smile yourself.
Donna leaves behind a family and circle of friends who will carry her memory forward in the countless little moments that remind them of her: a day at the beach, the sound of a motorcycle, a handmade craft, an animal needing care, or the warmth of a hug.
Her love was generous, her heart was enormous, and her presence touched more lives than she may have ever realized.
Donna will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. A Visitation for Donna will be held at D'Andrea Brothers Funeral Home in Copiague, NY on Thursday 8/13/2026 between the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be scheduled and posted tomorrow. Interment will take place on Friday 8/14/2026 after mass at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
