Mr. Ortiz is survived by his beloved wife, Flor, his daughter Rosemary, and son German; his grandchildren, John Jayden and Dorian Jordan, and his brother Jorge Ortiz and his sister Celia Guzman and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 2-4:30 p.m. and then again from 7-9:30 p.m.. A funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption church in Copiague. Interment will follow at Breslau Cemetery in Lindenhurst.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help find a cure.
