Howard W. Bowe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of Howard William Bowe at the age of 92 on the morning of January 17, 2026. He was born to Lillian and Sonny on December 7, 1933 in Manhattan, NY and he was a resident of Amityville for over 50 years.

He was a loving father, grandfather (Poppy), great grandfather and great great grandfather. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan, and son, Kevin. He is survived by his four remaining children Maureen Stark, Howard (Carol), Brian (Karen), and Gerard. He is also survived by his loving wife, Susan, her brother, Joseph, and was a wonferful stepfather to Marc (Janice), Craig (June), and especially Lance. Howard also had 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

In life, Howard was a master carpenter, who brought both skill and competence to any job site. Howard enjoyed spending time with his family and ballroom dancing in his free time. He was not only a good dancer but also a fantastic host. He often enjoyed bringing family and friends together for gatherings, especially in his home.

Memorial visitations will be held at D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home, located at 99 Oak Street, Copiague, NY 11726, on January 25, 2026. The visitations are scheduled from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A religious service and burial of ashes will be held at St. Charles Cemetery on Wellwood Avenue in Farmingdale on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Howard's memory.
