Jeanne Constance DiMonda

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeanne DiMonda, who left us peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 100. Born in Australia on October 9, 1924, Jeanne’s life was marked by grace, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

Jeanne’s journey began when she met her beloved husband, Ralph DiMonda, in a luncheonette owned by her parents. Their love story blossomed, and they were married in 1949, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising their three daughters. Tragically, their oldest daughter, also named Jeanne, passed away in a car accident at the tender age of 20 in 1971, a heartbreak that forever changed the family’s path.

Jeanne and Ralph lived for many years in Copiague, New York, before retiring to Florida in 1984. It was there that Jeanne continued to share her elegance, warmth, and dedication to those she loved. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, and her devotion to her two daughters, Patricia Ferry and Brenda Lawlor, and her two grandchildren, Gary and Lauren, was a cornerstone of her life.

Jeanne’s family describes her as a woman of true elegance, who radiated kindness and strength in equal measure. Above all, her greatest passion was her family. She touched the lives of those who knew her with her compassion, her wisdom, and her gentle spirit.

Jeanne leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Friends and family are invited to visit and pay their respects at D'Andrea Bros Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY, where she will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice in Jeanne's memory, as a tribute to the love and devotion she so graciously shared throughout her life.
