Born on July 18, 1926, in New York City, John lived a full and meaningful life. John was a devoted husband to his wife, Lidia (née Ciancio), with whom he shared over 70 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that includes their children Clare Bryan (John), Belinda Walters (John), and John O. Grimaldi (Doreen); their grandchildren Jimmy, Melissa, John (Simone), Sara (Marc), Michael (Kristin), and Matthew; and great-grandchildren Austin, Nevaeh, Sedona, Samuel, Josie, and Liliana.
John proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1944 to 1952, traveling across Europe and Asia during his service. Following his military career, he spent over 35 years working at Grumman Aerospace Corporation.
A lifelong Yankees fan, John enjoyed cheering on his team and spending time with those he loved most. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his gentle spirit, and his unwavering love.
John will be missed more than words can express, but his memory will live on in the stories we tell, the traditions we carry, and the love we share.
