

Joe was a young man who accomplished so very much. He attended Deauville Gardens Grade School as a child, was a graduate of Kellenberg High School, and a current student at Hofstra University. Joe was a member of the Copiague Boy Scouts, having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. An avid sportsman with a passion for Lacrosse and Soccer, he was a member of the Hofstra Soccer program, and of the Hofstra Men's Lacrosse Team, NCAA Division 1. An accomplished musician, Joe played French Horn, and was a member of the esteemed Metropolitan Youth Orchestra.
He leaves his beloved family - his parents, Alfred and Debra; his sister, Amy Osooli and brother-in-law, Arman; and his grandparents, Joseph and Betty Ann Ferriso. Predeceasing him are his grandparents Alfred and Mary Tosi.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday and Thursday, January 7 and 8, from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. On Friday, January 9th, a Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church in Copiague. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a scholarship fund now in place. Checks are made payable to "Hofstra University", denoting "Joseph A. Ferriso Memorial Fund" .
