

Kenneth was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Long Island where he married Mary Stanger. Together they had six beautiful children. He served in the U.S. Navy, and then became a New York City Police Officer. He retired in Florida. In his personal time Kenny enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting but nothing took precedence over the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Sadie Stanger and his brother, Ronald Stanger. Surviving are his children Billy and Anita Stanger, Patty Soluri, Maryellen and Dan Enea, Maureen and Joe Greco, AnnMarie and John Villanella and Tommy Stanger; seventeen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; his Sister Geraldine Rothaug; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for Memorial Visitation on Sunday, July 11th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. During the visitation , at 7:00 p.m., the United States Navy Honor Guard will offer Military Honors with the presentation of the United States flag in remembrance and in honor of Mr. Stangers' service. Deacon Phil Mills will offer a catholic wake service at 7:30 p.m.
On Monday, July 12th, the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church in Copiague; with NYPD Honors given by the New York City Police Department Ceremonial Unit.
