Lidia Clara Grimaldi

Born on February 14, 1935 in Vittoria, Sicily, Italy, Lidia lived a full life. Lidia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 70 years, John A. Grimaldi. She is survived by their children Clare Bryan (John), Belinda Walters (John), and John O. Grimaldi (Doreen): their grandchildren Jimmy, Melissa, John (Simone), Sara (Marc), Michael (Kristin), and Matthew; great-grandchildren Austin, Nevaeh, Sedona, Samuel, Josie, Liliana, and Bennett; and great, great-grandchild Amelia.

After marrying in Italy, Lidia came to join John in the United States. During those years she raised her family and worked in women’s fashion industry once her children were of school age. Semi-retired, she then enjoyed working at a local pizzeria. Lidia was a fitness enthusiast and went frequently to the gym with her husband John, up until her mid eighties.

Once her children were grown, she and John did a lot traveling and had the opportunity to visit many wonderful places. Lidia especially cherished her many summers in Italy, visiting with her dear extended family and friends.

Lidia will always be remembered for her love of gatherings and celebrations with her family and friends. She always brought energy and spontaneity with her wherever she went.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at D’Andrea Bros Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10:00 to 1:30 followed by an entombment at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY
