Lorrie Brennan (née Seaman), a long time resident of Copiague who grew up in Amityville, passed away early Sunday morning, February 7, 2021 at the age of 64 after a long and heroic battle with cancer.
With a huge heart, a beautiful smile, and lots of hugs and kisses, Lorrie was known for always thinking about and taking care of others. Lorrie loved everyone and her family most of all. She is survived by Jim, her husband of 45 years, her two children, Liz and Mike, her brother Bob, and her sister Kay. Her brother, Doug, and both of her parents are awaiting her in heaven. She was a loving wife, daughter, mom, and sister, but nothing brought her more joy than being Mimi to her three granddaughters, Alexis, Cadence, and Mason. Always tough with a fighting spirit, Lorrie battled advanced cancer for over 6 years, giving her granddaughters the gift of knowing their Mimi and her children the gift of watching their children with her. Nothing brought a smile to Lex's, Cade's or Mae's face faster than seeing their Mimi.
Lorrie's penchant for taking care of others didn't stop at humans, she loved her dogs like they were her children. There will be much tail-wagging awaiting her.
Because of this love and in honor of her fight with cancer, we are asking that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter where she rescued her most recent precious best friend Sookie. Include in memo " Tails of Hope", to address 3320 Beltagh Ave, Wantagh, NY, 11793; or the American Cancer Society.
Please be certain that if you would like to have an acknowledgement sent to the family, please include with your check, the information here: "In memory of Lorrie Brennan", acknowledging "The Brennan Family, 104 27th St. Copiague, NY, 11726"
