Louis Fernandez

Louis Fernandez, of Lindenhurst, L.I., died on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the age of 87 years. Lou served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, and he loved to regale stories of his time stationed in Alaska. After his military service ended, he was a banker with Citibank in New York City for 40 years. Surviving is his beloved wife of 58 years, Barbara; his daughter, Lori Beloff and son-in-law, Scott; his son, Gary Fernandez and daughter-in-law, Cathleen; and his seven grandsons - James, Scott, Thomas, Joseph, Michael, Anthony and Nicholas. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday, May 16th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, May 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's R.C. Church in Bay Shore. Following Mass, the committal service, with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will be offered at 1:00 PM at Calverton National Cemetery.
