Pandemic Protocols: We adhere to the mandates of our Governor's Office. MASKS are to be worn at all time in the funeral home, there are no exceptions. Visitor capacity is limited to 50 persons. Entry to the funeral home is in the Rear Entrance only. All visitors are given entry tickets to ensure adherence to the mandate. Social distancing is required. Margaret McDonald, a longtime resident of Lindenhurst, died on Tuesday, April 13th just months short of her 70th birthday.
Margaret was born in Copiague, L.I. to her parents, Francis and Margaret Trotta. She attended Copiague schools, graduating in 1969. She met her future husband, Ken McDonald in 1968 and were married in 1972. They bought their home in Lindenhurst in1979, where they began to raise their own family. She so enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to her six children. She loved her family, friends, and spending as much time as possible with all of her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving is her beloved family - her husband of 49 years, Ken; her children - Joseph and daughter-in-law, Christine; Kenneth; Tom and daughter-in-law, Tiffany; Keith and daughter-in-law, Jenn; Maggie Viverito and son-in-law, Chris; and Stephanie Boystak and son-in-law, Philip. Also surviving are her eleven grandchildren - Abigal, Megan, Lillian, Charlotte, Adrianna, Ben, Jack, Vincent, Olivia, Gabriella and Nicolette; and her siblings - Mary Ann (Richard) Haas, Victoria (Eric) Terzella, Veronica (John) Karcher, Catherine (Joe) Atanasio, Michael (Lorraine) Trotta and Frank Trotta.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, April 15th, from 2:00 - 4:30 and 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, at 9:45 a.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church in Lindenhurst. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
