I sure do miss my dear coworker and friend. I have so many fun and happy memories. The Copiague Library is not the same without Marie. 

I was sorry to hear of Marie's passing.  My hope is that the love  and support of family and friends guide her loved ones during these sad times.

There was and never will be anyone quite like Marie. I had the pleasure of working with her for the past 25 years and the honor of being able to call her my friend. She gave so freely of herself and I witnessed her generosity and love for people, every year I knew her. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. So many lunches, dinners, parties, work events, craft classes, weddings and other events we shared, will always be a part of my past and some of my best memories. I will never forget your guidance and advice when it came to situations in my life and how you always found time to be there for others. Your smile brightened the room and your laugh was contagious. The world lost a legend but Heaven has gained the most perfect angel. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your selflessness. I still can't believe your gone. Rest in peace Marie. You are with your boys now. 

I was deeply saddened by the news of Marie’s passing. I first met her when I was ten years old. She was always kind and cheerful, despite the tragic losses she endured. Over the years we shared a love of crafting. Once she was retired from the phone company, she was able to pursue her creative hobbies even more. She was always happy and excited to show me her latest projects whenever I stopped by to see her. However, her real joy came from giving, making gift baskets, and volunteering. Always warm and kind, she welcomed me into her family with open arms and love.

Dear, dear Marie. My heart is heavy knowing I won’t be able to see or talk to you anymore. Like many others, I too thought you would be with us always but knowing where you are, who you are with and knowing the joy you have right now eases my sorrow. The memories of you, Debbie and me, plus many others are a part of my treasure in this world. You were a wonderful friend and it has been an honor to know you. I will love you always.

How heartbreaking to think that such a beautiful, loving, caring, sensitive, giving, above all honorable woman  won’t share life with us anymore. I too thought you would live forever,  your warmth and smile is what drew me towards you. Your dedication to the families and fire department in Copiague are what people will be talking about for many years to come. I love you !

You were one of a kind. You were always there for everyone.  Always selling tickets for the fire department. You were a very good friend   I will miss you . May you Rest In Peace now that you are with your loved one. My friend  God will take care of you.

Marie was always kind and considerate to me.  During my first tour of duty, she was Madame Copiague!  She welcomed me back in 2012 and always made me feel right at home.  She will be greatly missed.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I met you in 1975 after joining the Copiague Junior Firefighters you were friendly and nice to everyone. In 1985 I met your daughter Dianne. You were always there for us thru good and bad times. You personally changed the preconceived ideas of a Mother in Law. You welcomed me as a son. I will always remember your smile and your stories. May you be hugging Jesus and feeling the love of all your family. 

My heart is broken. I thought you would live forever, Marie Odell. You were one of my best friends. We met at work decades ago, but really you were family. 
You will be missed by a great many people, my family especially. I joked that you were the "Mayor of Copiague" as you have done so much for this town. If we could all be like you and give half as much as you did, this world would be a much better place.
My only solace is that you are now in Heaven with your 3 sons, your husband, and your sisters and parents.

I will remember our time in the Copiague Fire Dept and the fun we had when we were roommates on the fire dept trips.  I will always remember her with that smile, and sincere person that she was.  I'm  sure I speak for others when I say she was the best Mrs. Claus that Copiague ever had.  May she rest in peace...Regards to "Digger"...Love Becky
