Matteo Tambasco

Affectionately known as 'Matty' to all who loved him, he was a long-time resident of Copiague. Copiague residents, as well as our surrounding communities, knew Matty as one of our local beloved Mailmen, as he had worked for the Copiague Post Office; and then in later years, working for Advantage Realty, where he worked side-by-side with his daughter, Anna.

He leaves his beloved wife, Catherine; his children - Anna Tambasco-Tarantino and son-in-law, James; Vito Tambasco; and Carmela Aiello and son-in-law, Tom; his grandchildren - Richard Spinelli, Matthew Spinelli, James Gallagher, Brianna Tambasco, Vito Tambasco, Nicholas Ragolia and Allie Aiello; and his sister, Sophie Laccone.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday, January 29 and 30; from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31st, at 10:00 a.m., in the Auditorium of Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church in Copiague. Entombment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
