Mr. Michael DiGennaro

Mr. DiGennaro was born in Italy. In his years of work, he was a Nurseryman, where his business, Peninsula Nusery was located in Cedarhurst. He married his beloved, the former Palma DeTuro, and together they raised three children.

In addition to his beloved wife, Palma; he is survived by his children, Michael DiGennaro, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Karen; Penny Odell and late son-in-law, Rick; and daughter-in-law Fran, widow to his late son, Frank. Also surviving are his grandchildren - Grace (Kevin) McLaughlin, Stephanie (Chris) Searson, Alicia Kroog, Rick (Amy) Odell, Frankie (Nicole) DiGennaro, and Jennifer Odell; and his great-grandchildren - Kaila and Dylan McLaughlin, Christopher and Keira Searson, Daniella and Mariska Kroog, Jake and Charlotte Odell, and Emma and Michael DiGennaro. Predeceasing him are his parents, Frank and Angelina DiGennaro, his sister, Marion; half and step-siblings, Lucy, Nano, Gillie, Emilia and John.

Family and friends will gather at the D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home in Copiague on Sunday, April 29th, from 2-4:30 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. On Monday, April 30th, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church in Copiague. Cremation will be private.
