Mr. Romano was born in Potenza, Italy; to his late parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Bloisi). After coming to the United States, he made a career as a Merchant Seaman with the Merchant Marines; from which he retired from.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Ramona; and his children – Nick Romano, Jr., Roseann Romano, Mario Romano and Mona Lisa Romano; his grandchildren – Jason (Meghan) Romano, Joseph (Gabby) Figueroa, William (Myriam) Olivo, Colleen Lopez, Peter (Kimberly) Romano and Elaine (Michael) Fox; and his great-grandchildren – Sophia, Bryanna, Isabella, Cecilia, Logan, Grace Elizabeth, Chelsey, Kaylin, Johnathan, Sarah and Rachael. Also surviving are his brothers – Frank and Mario. He is predeceased by his sister, Catherine and his brothers Tony and John.
