Peter M. Rapp

Mr. Rapp was born in Germany to his late parents, Frank and Gertrude, and came to the United States as an infant. As he grew into his adult years, he became a proficient Gunsmith, and spent his career as owner and operator of The Outdoorsman, a sporting goods store in Merrick, Long Island. In relation to his career, Pete was a proud lifetime member of the NRA.

In his younger years, Peter was a true auto "afficiando", having owned some truly beautiful cars. Deeply passionate about History, he enjoyed all things related to the American Civil War, and was an avid collector of German War memorabilia. He was an avid Yankees fan, and enjoyed both playing and watching Tennis.

Surviving are his children, Christina Cosentino and son-in-law, Rob; Marc and daughter-in-law, Allison; and Neal and daughter-in-law, Anna. He is a cherished Opa to Matthew Shane, Angel, Lauren, Samantha and Evan; and great-grandfather to Osiris.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, March 17th, from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. A Funeral Prayer Service will be offered at the funeral home on Satuday evening at approximately 8 p.m. Cremation will be private.
