Regina Favata, a forty-year resident of Copiague, L.I., died Sunday, January 27th, at the age of 68 years.

Born and raised in the Bronx, she attended and graduated from Delahanty High School. Regina moved out to Copiague in 1975 when the family bought their first home.

In her years of work, Regina was a Supervisor in the food industry. She managed the "Dutch Treats" supermart, a food store for students on the campus of Hofstra University. Her daughter, Michelle, recalls a woman who loved to dance, enjoyed bowling, was a huge fan of Elvis and was a fond collector of elephants.

Regina and her family loved traveling, making destination trips to Puerto Rico and St. Thomas; and enjoying local "cruises to nowhere". She assisted her longtime beloved, Steven Zaluski, in running local art shows. They hosted weekly gatherings at her home with friends and members of the bands she loved being a part of. Regina adored the pets she loved...her son, Steven's cat, Roxie, her late dog, Baron; and over the years...numerous fish that all carried the name "Baby".

Surviving are her children - her son, Steven and daughter-in-law, Stephanie; and her daughter, Michelle Favata; her beloved, Steven Zaluski; and her brother, Michael Caravello and his girlfriend, Nancy.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Sunday, February 10th, for Memorial Visitation, between 12:00 and 4:00 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., Deacon Phil Mills of Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church of Copiague, will offer the Catholic Wake Service. Cremation was private.
