Robert C. Leitz, of North Massapequa, New York, died on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his home. Mr. Leitz was a retired New York City Police Officer, having served with the 103rd Precinct. Surviving are his daughters, Karen Smalling and Kristina Leitz, his grandson, Logan Smalling; and his former wife, Joan Schmuerch. Family and friends gathered at St. William the Abbot R.C. Church in Seaford on Monday, October 17th, at a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment followed in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
