Rosa was born in Austria to her late parents, Paraska and Dmytro Mosiurchak. She came to the United States in 1956. She attended and graduated from Jamaica High School.
She met her beloved beau, Peter, in her neighborhood on June 22, of 1960. They were married by the Justice of the Peace in 1962, and made their home in Queens. Rosa and Peter came to Copiague in 1967 where they raised their family.
In her years of work, she found a love for computers and finance. Rosa retired from Madelyn Simon & Associates in Manhattan, an interior landscaping company where she handled the financial operations of the company.
Rosa found much love in her grandchildren and spending time walking the boardwalk at Tanner Park.
Rosa is predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter, who passed in 2016. Surviving are her children - her son, Peter and daughter-in-law, Susan; her son, James and daughter-in-law, Patricia; her daughter, Dawn DiBartolo and son-in-law, Joe; and her son, Michael. She is a cherished grandmother to Paige Lusk, Meghann Quaider, Kyle Quaider, Nicholas DiBartolo, Madelyn DiBartolo, Austyn Quaider and Noah Quaider; and great-grandmother of Madison. Rosa also leaves her brothers - Alex Mosuirchak and his wife Luba; Steven Mosuirchak and his wife, Linda; Michael Mosuirchak and his wife, Linda; and John Mosuirchak.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 28th from 2:00 - 4:30 pm and 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. The Catholic Wake Service will be offered on Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m. by Deacon Mike of Our Lady of the Assumption Church of Copiague. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday morning at 9:45 a.m. at the church. Cremation is private.
