Roseann Stancanelli, who preferred to be called Rose, passed on December 23, 2019 at the age of 61. Rose was born in Huntington, New York; the daughter of Mike Piccione and Isabella Puglisi. Rose met her husband, Vito Stancanelli, in grade school at a very young age. Rose and Vito were friends for a very long time till they started dating in 1978. Soon after in 1980, they were married and had 3 lovely children - Carol, Natalie and Frank. Rose was a wonderful, loving wife and a devoted mother who put her family ahead of everything.

Rose loved being a mother and grandmother. She loved the beach, water, fishing and many crafts such as gardening, beading and crocheting; but most of all loved her family.

I met Rose back in January of 2006. The two of us were hired as tax preparers for Great Florida Tax Service in Spring Hill, FL. We had fun together... She worked in 2019 during tax season from Jan - April. I appreciated her humor, along with her courage. Some days she did not feel well, but came into work and got through it. I visited with her at her home on the 20th and I am so glad I did. Rest In Peace Rose. Be with Natalie...

Very sorry to hear about Rose’s passing. We graduated HS the same year. And she was the prettiest girl in school.
We practiced clarinet together and would go swimming in the pool during summers.
My sympathy to her family.
Too young to leave.

I married my husband Greg in Oct 1989 and moved in to my home and became Rose and Vito’s neighbor’s. We fast became very good friends and we would hang out with each others families. Rose was a very special friend to me always. She was always there to lend an ear and give me advice. We always got along and had lots of laughs ❤️ I will miss her dearly. I am very happy I was able to visit her a few weeks ago in the hospital. It was a very nice visit... we talked about old times... she held my hand and told me she loved me 🙏❤️ And I told her I loved her too. When we received the news from Vito that she passed we were so very sad 😞 ... I prayed to her and asked her to please give me a sign to let me know she is with Natalie .....I wanted to know she was at peace..... I asked her to give me a sign that i would know FOR SURE was from her I specifically asked her to show me an orchid.... I know the importantace that the orchid is to both Nat and Rose. A day after Christmas we went to my husbands employees home to bring presents for their children.... I looked up and the little girl was walking towards me with and envelope and she was carrying the most Beautiful Orchid as a present for me 🌸 I GOT MY SIGN! Rose is with her Natalie and nobody can tell me different ! I feel at peace that my friend is at peace ❤️ I love you Rose xoxo. Thank you for such a special friendship xo

Hanging out in the 70’s will always be a great memory. We always had a lot of fun. I remember Rose as being such a kind sweet person. She was always looking after her sister Patty. I can still see the attraction between Rose and Vito and I am very happy they were able to share a beautiful family and love together. I will always carry your memories in my heart sweet Rose and I can still hear your voice saying Vito’s name in your cute way.I’m sorry you were taken so young , may you rest in eternal peace . ❤️ Until we meet again . Love, Joanne Parrino Forem

Rose and I grew up together from a very young age and were raised together as family. Even though life took us in different directions as adults we reconnect in 2007 & picked up exactly where we left off. Rose lifted me and was there for me always, a sister so true. I will miss our talks, laughs, sarcasm, strength, crafting & love. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Now an Angel, you will be looking down on us but embracing all those we longed to be with. Until we meet again, I will cherish all the memories & precious moments we shared. My friend & sister............. Love You More ~ Always~ ❣️✨🌹
