Mrs. Therese M. Yates

Terry was the beloved mother of Elizabeth (Jeff), Laurie (Vinny), Russell Jr. (Yvette), Gerard, Edward (Lorie) and Kerry (John). She was the adored grandmother of Laura, Kelly, Kevin, Beth, Cassidy, Tommy and Brian; a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a loving sister to Edna Mae Cassidy. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Russell James Yates; her sister, Betty Anne Hummel and her brother, Edward Barrett.

Terry was a true example of living her life in service to God. She coordinated the Outreach Program at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, and was Past President of the Altar Rosary Society. Terry’s family meant everything to her, and she will be dearly missed.

Family and friends may call at the D’Andrea Bros. Funeral Home, 99 Oak Street, Copiague, on Sunday, June 7th, from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m. Deacon Mike of OLA will offer the Catholic Wake Service on Sunday evening at 8 p.m. On Monday at 11:00 a.m., a Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church in Copiague. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Terry's memory to the Outreach Program at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church.
