Tom was born in Coney Island Hospital (Brooklyn) on July 4th, 1932. His mom always told him that the fireworks at Coney Island were to celebrate his birth. Up until his death on June 18th 2022, he believed those fireworks were for him. Tom grew up in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Thomaston, Georgia where he lived for 26 years. He attended S.t Peter the Rock Church in Thomaston.
He is survived by his three children - Laura Calamuci, Steven Calamuci and Anne, Susan (Calamuci) Spiegel and Ronald. He had 6 grandsons, Daniel, Christian and soon to be adopted foster baby, Michael,(Calamuci), Alexander and Christopher Spiegel, and Robby Calamuci and 4 great grandchildren, Logan, Madeline, Lucca and Blake.
Tom loved his family more than anything. His grandchildren brought him endless joy. He was so proud of all their accomplishments. Tom was a lover of Frank Sinatra and sang all his songs. He enjoyed karaoke and won many contests including a Hawaiian cruise. He loved entertaining and especially loved making his own sausage and cooking Italian food. Additionally, Tom loved riding his motorcycles, collecting model cars, and traveling in his own cars. Tom will be missed by family and friends who loved him and he cherished.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday morning, July 7th, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. The funeral mass will be offered at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Copiague. Interment services will follow at 12:15 PM at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
