

Tommy grew up in Amityville, and after finishing school, he went to work for the New York State Department of Tranportation, and was currently in the position as Foreman. He also owned a landscape/construction business.
He and his twin brother, Richard were very close. Richard describes his brother as a happy-go-lucky guy, who was always giving and extremely generous. Tommy was there for anyone who asked for or needed help. He was hard-working and never idle, he was always doing something. When he had quiet time, he enjoyed playing pool and chess.
Surviving is his beloved father and stepmother, David and Lillian; his brother, Richard; his stepsister, Dawn Marie Danks; his nephew, Kyle Yates and niece, Laura Nicole Yates; his companion Alice Rodriguez and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Tallulah Yates, and his grandmothers Mary and Renee.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday, May 16th, from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, May 17th at 9:15 a.m., at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church in Amityville. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
