

Albert Robles Vera Jr., age 77, of Coppell, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. Born on January 3, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, Albert lived a full life marked by service, entrepreneurship, and devotion to family.
Albert attended Dallas area schools and Navy training in Glenview, Il.
Albert proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1972. He was honorably discharged and awarded the National Defense Service Medal for Good Conduct in 1972. After his military service, Albert trained as a dental technician before pursuing a successful career in the restaurant industry. In the 1980s, he became a well-known entrepreneur, founding and operating a popular chain of Mexican restaurants under the name Al Vera’s.
Albert was known for his sharp wit, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Vera; his brother, Alfredo Vera; his sister, Gloria Kelly; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry on his legacy and remember him with affection and admiration.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Robles Vera Sr., and his son, Chris Vera.
A viewing and Rosary will be held at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Center in Coppell, TX, on September 18, 2025, at 2pm, with burial to follow. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward for refreshments in remembrance and celebration of Albert’s life.
Albert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
