Alexandria “Sandy” Lucas Noonan, 59, resident of Hurst, TX, born in Meriden, Connecticut on October 24, 1957, was the daughter of the late Margaret Jean Lucas Noonan and James Joseph Noonan. She transitioned from this world to the next from heart complications in HEB Hospital, Bedford, Texas, on December 8, 2016. Sandy suffered through multiple physical conditions through the course of her life, including a massive heart attack at the age of 55. Since that time, she astounded healthcare professionals with her strong-willed ability to survive several life-threatening episodes. Sandy lived Life on her own terms, in her own way, defying anything or anyone who tried to persuade her to do otherwise. She exemplified self-confidence, inner strength, and an unwavering belief in her own truths. She taught others how to stand up for themselves, set boundaries, and how to say “no” when necessary. Her strong will, no-nonsense attitude, and brilliant mind served her well in her chosen life. She cultivated life-long friendships with whom she freely shared her unvarnished thoughts and perspectives. Sandy could be counted on for her steadfast loyalty, patient listening, and the rendering of her honest opinion, illuminating insights; and, most of all, for telling what needed to be told, not what wanted to be heard. Additionally, Sandy was an unsung, but talented artist, articulate creative writer and an uncompromising editor. She is survived by several distant relatives, and those who call her their “best friend”, one of whom is her sister, Mary Elizabeth Noonan St. Cyr.
